America’s largest consumer electronics tradeshow is upon us once again. Summitech will be attending the trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, January 8th and Wednesday, January 9th, but the show continues through Friday, January 11th. CES is known for showcasing the next generation of innovations and products every year. Summitech is looking forward to checking out some of the world’s most recognizable brand names, from the small-scale tech companies to the tech giants in the industry. CES gives us a great opportunity to stay in touch with the latest innovations and an opportunity to meet up with business partners and customers in person,  to discuss future business opportunities.

Going into the show this year, the CES Unveiled Amsterdam event in September already debuted some of the years largest advancements. These include Artificial Intelligence (AI), energy and environmental sustainability technologies, mobility, and resilience and smart cities. Some of the trends we have seen in 2018 are curated social buying, emerging categories ready for Primetime, and concierge services for our online buying needs. About 164 million U.S. adults plan to purchase tech gifts and will spend an average of $464 per person. Looking at these trends and numbers, we can see that the tech industry is prospering in the midst of all their advancements. The tech spending forecast is up 3.4% since last year.

This year at the show, we are most excited to see the advancements in the next generation of mobile phones including 5G networks, and Verizon will be rolling out their 5G home service. These types of advancements are taking the mobile phone industry by storm and Summitech is proud to be a part of these advancements. In addition, we are looking forward to seeing our partners in the gaming industry, virtual reality, broadband and video, and various others.
